Anyone any idea of the artist name here or where the painting might be of?

It picked up in Southern Ireland but dont think its Irish coastline.

    Thanks for any help

    The canvas measures approx 18 inches by 15 inches. 20250612_182115_resize_9.jpg 20250612_182124_resize_79.jpg 20250612_182130_resize_28.jpg 20250612_182142_resize_92.jpg 20250612_182152_resize_54.jpg 20250612_182204_resize_43.jpg

It's signed fairly clearly "Garniga" (to my eye.)

Looks like a little souvenir from somewhere. One of the Balearic Islands, I'd think. (The words "estella" and "can" point that way.) Is the blue a ribbon? Has it been painted or is that its original color? It'd be helpful to have some context to the pencil notations. Hard to understand how they're grouped together.

Believe the signature reads Garriga. A possible match for the artist is a J Garriga, ( oil on canvas of a [Castilian countryside scene ] by J Garriga for sale on Ebay)

That's a lot of ocean for the Castilian countryside!

    I also read Garriga.
Sea levels are rising much faster than anticipated. I am wearing my wetsuit, just in case.

The blue on the wooden frame is painted on but on wood not a ribbon.

The pencill notations are on different sides of the wooden back of the canvas seperate as they picured.

Maybe there more writing under the tape might have a look later when it to hand.

    Thanks for help
