Help with Blanket/Rug Identification

• 1. Taupou

     Just based on the way it is woven, and the image with the square "ears" and head dress, it appears to be contemporary Mexican. It would help if the entire image on the rug was shown, since it looks like it's folded back. The figure, however, from the turned head, and what could be legs sticking out to the left, would be that of Chacmool, a pre-Columbian Mesoamerican figure.

That looks suspiciously Mexican to me (not that I am any kind of expert on the subject.) The person whose eyes you really need to see it is @Taupou

As @Taupou said in her comment in the gallery, it looks like a representation of a chac-mool, in front of a pyramid. So, most likely Mexican.

México. Mayan imagery: Chichen Itza and a Chacmool found there. Someone went to Yucatán not long ago and brought back a souvenir. Looks like decent quality.
