    Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble determining the 65536146_311526793058602_8480869111608377344_n.jpg 65018653_2418026078431356_3033513273493291008_n.jpg 65018653_2418026078431356_3033513273493291008_n.jpg 65536146_311526793058602_8480869111608377344_n.jpg 65985762_2311606315587937_3927479118081294336_n.jpg date or ID of this dresser. There are no ID markers anywhere on the piece of furniture. There is only the #29 pencilled on the back of each dresser drawer.

If anyone could help with any information they know that would be very much appreciated. Pictures are attached.

    Ray.

Welcome to Antiquers, @Ray889 . The furniture experts will be along some time soon, I hope. Meanwhile, I have learned from this site that if you can get to the back of the mirror glass itself, the mirror's date will be printed on it. If the mirror is original to the dresser that will give you the date.

Not to sure from the photos to hazard a guess 1940s to 50s. The knobs (wooden handles just in case knobs mean a different thing in the US I know it has two meanings in this country) are a bit out of place. But I'm coming from a UK perspective the US has different styling. Yes as figtree3 said have a look at the back of a glass. To see if there's a manufacturer's date. Good luck

Thank-you everyone for your help! I had a look at the back of the mirror and found a stamp. Attached is the photo of the stamp. I tried a internet search regarding this stamp but had no luck finding any information.

Can anyone provide me with further insight regarding the stamps information?

Well, the date is October 18, 1922. The other part might say "Hobbs Br." or "Bobbs Br." or "Robbs Br." The BR. might stand for Brothers but also could be something else.

I forgot to ask where you are located. In the US?

I would read that as a date. Looks like @verybrad was spot on.

    Thank-you everyone.

I'm based in Canada. Would you guys have a estimate as to how much a piece of furniture like this would be worth?

Canadians write dates the "proper" way, don't they? So this thing must be American.

I think Brad nailed it: 1920s American. Value ... not a lot. If you want to mess with it, go ahead. It's nice quality wood and highly useful. It's just not too salable in today's market.

Not sure what it would be worth in your Canadian location but, in my Midwest semi-rural area, under $100.00 in this condition.

If the drawers work perfectly (don't stick), similar to Brad's estimate. $100 or so. If the drawers are really sticking and need work, probably more like $50-75. I'm in an urban area. I could see someone painting this. It is a cute size and has nice lines.
