Help with hallmark

    Has anyone seen this hallmark or symbol on any jewellery. Seems to say 18k but who knows if it's authentic or not appreciate any help. Chris 15143607662361.jpg 15143607661730.jpg

    I think it says 8 rather than 18 - not common, but it does exist. British speling, but not a legal gold content here. Or maybe one of our former colonies. Given that tropical leaf and flower, I'd surmise a tourist piece from somewhere like the Windies, or Bermuda maybe.

    I think it is 8ct too. Australia usually has 9ct, so has New Zealand, maybe further east in the Pacific? One of the islands, hence the flower and palm leaf symbol?
