Featured Help With ID of Bookcase/Cabinet

    We are cleaning out my husband’s grandpa’s basement and found this cabinet. We are hoping to be able to find out when it was probably made so we know which family member originally had it. I cannot seem to find writing anywhere on it. It does open with the skeleton key pictured. Any help is welcome! Thanks

    Mass produced Golden Oak circa 1910 give or take . Its really quite pretty and a wonderful size .

    It's a glass front book case.
    American oak.
    1890s-early 1900s. Pre WWI

    Nice and in good condition.
    Hope you plan to keep it in the family. Unfortunately, right now value is not as high as it used to be.

    Nice!

    At least there still seems to be some demand for bookcases, unlike other furniture forms.

    We have a lovely Child's Chair made from similar wood with wonderful covering. Thank you all, was wondering about the wood and how old it might be!
