5FC8861B-E546-42E3-9FBC-EDB375C11537.jpeg I am not sure I am doing this right but I have a beautiful piece and wanted to know the artist. It measures 21" tall and is heavyish. Does anyone recognize the name? Thank you. 371CAE54-8785-4C93-8A04-FF5DA381ADFE.jpeg

We don't know where from? Not exactly an antique either.

The "signature" looks more like initials than a name?

Sorry I didn't see these until now. I didn't believe it to be an antique. Yes, it is hollow. Made like a vase but so tall, I think of it as an object of art. I have a great deal of trouble reading a lot of handwriting for some reason and this is no different. So what initials are you thinking?

    CW? CMk? Just guesses.

Where and how did you obtain it? Maybe the answers will help.

Online auction from Florida. Do not know a thing about it but was very pleasantly pleased when I received it.

On a different topic, I just tried to start a thread and I could not upload a photo because it kept saying too large. Same place my photos above came from on my computer. I do not know what to do or even what the difference is. Any idea?

The image needs to be less than 1 MB in size. There are several ways to resize photos, on phones or on computers. One thing recommended by some people is to email the photo to yourself as an attachment and to change the attachment size to Medium. Then save it, and use the resized photo for your post. This works well, IF your email makes it easy to resize. Try it with yours and see if it does. If not, you can use a photo editing program to resize. Such programs are included in both phones and computers. Or you can find an app or program to download to your device.

How did you ever find him or his work? As I understand the bio info, he only had a few pieces because he passed away right when his work started off. You rock! Now I have to figure pricing. That will be difficult as he never developed a following.
