Help with identifying the manufacturer

    I don't normally buy or like statuettes like or like them; but for €1 I thought I would chance my arm and buy it for resale. I think this one is pretty as these things go, and well executed.

    'Porcelain' is spelt without an 'e', and there is no indication of country of origin. The marque is a golden background globe, and the initials 'MI', I think.

    Could it be one of the Hungarian producers?

    It "feels" 1950s to me.. because of the spattered pink and gold glaze on the short pants...

    1950s is good for me. What do you think of the quality of the work? And any idea of nationhood. The hat makes me think of Hungary.
