    Welcome to the forum, Luke.
Kyra is right, and it is a pastoral scene, which was popular in the 18th century. But as kyra said, yours was made later in the same style.
I edited your picture a bit, maybe that helps in identifying the scene:

Many of this style tapestry dates to WWI time period, or shortly after.

Often marked Belgium or France on the back.

I suspect yours is from that time period. Late 1800s might be too early.

Others will get upset with me for this.

Fabric was made to be washed prior to dry cleaning.

When I had an older washer with a good gentle cycle, I often put these in the wash with cold water, less than a 1/4C of borax and gently washed. Ten to fifteen minutes in a dryer and then hang to finish drying. I never had to iron mine, but suspect you could use a cool iron on the back side if you wanted.

All the dirt, grime and cigarette smoke that has accumulated for the last almost 100 years washes out. The colors will no longer be muted. they turn out lovely.
