May be Korean. Their marks often use Chinese characters for at least part of the marking. The third one from the right is what tipped me off, but note that I wrote "may" not for sure in the least!

Is that a banana-tailed dragon of some sort? Abstract, but nice and will look even better polished :)

East Asian dragons generally have those 'feathery' tails.
This is the celestial dragon flag, symbol of the late Qing dynasty:

Thank you all for your help, I am clearly pretty clueless with Asian silver marks, so very helpful info.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Did you decide to buy this spoon, @MrNate ? Just curious.

I did, I probably paid more than it’s worth but I liked it.

I really must be crazy because 9/10 times I prefer the before picture. Looks great polished but I’m a sucker for tarnish I guess.

No , not at all !
I have a fondness for that softer non glare silver look too.....but most silver started life in a high gloss............... so both have their place !!

Well said, both do have their place. Some of the fancy stuff just doesn’t look right tarnished. Some stuff looks better than others with a nice polish. ...Whatever creams your Twinkie! (Said a girl from OK to me once in lieu of “whatever toots your horn”)

Were you ever able to translate your marks?

komokwa The Truth is out there...!

Someone is bound to say it , so I'll say it 1st.....
all except for coins.....don't polish coins.....
( unless like my 1921 Morgan...when it darkens...I give it a light polish to accentuate the head, lettering and eagle , for that 2 tone look !!! )
I'm not selling it....& use it for heads or tails.........:happy:
