Help with Meissen Coffeepot

Hello everyone - I am trying to find out any information regarding the codes on the bottom of a Meissen coffeepot. The pot stands about 10" tall. Besides the crossed swords mark there is an impressed 122 and some kind of a blue cypher symbol. I don't seem to be having much luck finding a page that includes a date code matching my symbol. I don't think this is a second but there is a little roughness along the bottom rim so it could be. I'm not that familiar with Meissen so any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
    Don

Hi Don. I'm sorry but the quality of this piece simply doesn't appear to be that of Meissen. The lid doesn't fit well. The roughness you mention around the bottom - could it have scratched a wooden table? The bottom rim of this teapot appears too clean, never used. I see the numbers and markings and I still believe this to be a decorative pot. Looks 1980s to me.

Here is one online marked differently. In looking at the link kindly provided by Laura above, I think most of these do not look very old. This one is almost as clean as yours but mentions "no sharp edges"...

"This is an Antique Ernst Theichert, MEISSEN porcelain coffee Pot, Blue Onion. The lid has a Blue Rose finial. The pottery backstamp is an arrow and marked MEISSEN. The Coffee Pot measures 11 1/2" height(through finial), 8" length (handle through spout), 6 1/2" width at the largest portion of the bowl. There are no cracks. Under the lid, there is a small chip on one of the interlocking tabs. See photo #12 for Close Up.

There is an indent (under glaze) on the rim of the lid. It aligns with the thumb (when the lid is locked into place) for pouring. This "indent" could be intentional or could possibly have been a prior repair. If so, the porcelain repair was professionally done--as there are no sharp edges, uniform color, and completely under glaze.

Here is a shot of the mark and the edge of the bottom:

Thank you LauraGarnet02 and antidiem - I agree that a 1980's (or even later date) seems more appropriate for this pot. There's just something clumsy about the construction, and the body and lid feel too thick and heavy than I would have expected from older porcelain. I also see now that a number of these pots seem to be for sale, but not that many other pieces in this newer blue onion pattern and I find that rather odd. I'm starting to wonder now if it's a modern replica with a missing "Made in somewhere" sticker. My pot also has an indent like the example antidiem found but mine is in the spout rather than the rim of the lid. It puzzled me because it looked like a chip but I couldn't decide whether it had been smoothed over. Now I'm thinking it was smoothed over and, like the base, was just sloppy work when the piece was removed from the mold.

I think I picked this picked up this up very cheap at auction and I may just donate it rather than attempt to sell it.

Thank you so much for helping me crystalize my thinking on this pot. I know it took you some time to research on my behalf and I very much appreciate your efforts.

I think it's a chocolate pot. Don't coffee pots generally have a spout that is longer and starts much lower down on the body :)

Ditto on chocolate pot, because of the high spout.
