Help with metal pitcher

    Hi, I posted this pitcher on another thread on here awhile back but not on this thread so I was hoping someone could help me identify this pitcher. It measures 4 in tall and 6 in wide. It has a brown velvet cloth covering the bottom. I was wondering what it was used for and the material it's made out of. Also possible age? Any information would be great thanks!
