Found this a few days ago at a local yard sale. It is a mirror surrounded by a lot of little mirrors (it still needs to be cleaned but those are all mirrors around the center mirror).
I thought it was made of wood, but it is also light; not heavy at all & where there is a little chip it is white underneath (last photo).
When & where is this from? (I thought mid century - and should have a painted velvet bull fighting painting next to it!)
    What would you call it?
    What is it made of?
    I appreciate any help.

The first word that came to me was sunburst, but also things like Mughal & Indian. AJ may have some thoughts on it.

I'd call it a sunflower. There's actually a daisy like plant which has those petals but my brain is mush.

They're called sunburst mirrors. Can be found in gesso, gilt wood or metal. Came out of France in the 1940s and now widely reproduced in many variations. Depending on age, yours could be of European manufacturer or Asian. A chic decorative object.
