Help with Oil painting location and artist

    Hi all, i could use some help with this painting.
    Oil on canvas 18" x 24" frame is 26" x 32"
    Signed Laursen
    Grumbacher NY stretcher, frame made in Mexico. I am thinking Mid
    Century and that's really all I have. I loved the colors.

    It's not bad and it's clearly signed but can't find any artist by that name. And just not sure where that could be. The Nile perhaps? That burlap matting typically dates to the 1960s/1970s. Would you post a photograph of the back?

    Isn't Laursen a Dutch name? I am imagining the building in the background on the left could be a windmill? @Any Jewelry could you take a look please?
