help with old chair

anyone have any idea on this chair? what? when? worth? know it needs cleaned up but already started that process.

 

It looks like a Mexican chair from maybe the 70s that was left outside for a long time.Spanish colonial style .

That poor thing needs some help. I might just give it a nice waxing down and leave bad enough alone; it took it a while to get to that state, and it looks like a cool primitive now instead of a Pier One refugee. The wood does need protecting and I'd bring the poor thing inside.
