Really no idea what could be the origin. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Hi Kardinalisimo - I think the decoration is prunus blossoms. Might imply an Asian origin. Sorry I can't be of more help - it's an interesting vase.

    Agreed!

Japanese, in the form of bamboo with blossoms in relief. As far as dating, my guess would be late-19th to first half of the 20th C.

Thanks for the replies. Could be Asian indeed. Not typical Chinese shape so Japanese sounds about right.
