Hope someone might be able to translate the writing on the back of this painting. I'm pretty sure it is Russian. 12 1/2" x 9" Very thick, Very very thick.
The writing is just on a piece of paper taped to the back. might not even have anything to do with the painting?

Yes, it is Russian. My Russian is very rusty. It’s a prayer, it begins with Lord, my shepherd...

    It calls for Psalm 22.

I think it has to do with the painting since there is a little church there

Is there signature on the painting? The names written at end of the prayer are Vera and Taliog. I think

Maybe they are the recipients of the painting and poem. I've never seen a relief painting before. If that's what I can call it.

This is a quote from Psalm 22.
Given to "dear sister in Christ, Olechka, from Vera and Tatiana".

'Sister in Christ' sounds like she could be a fellow religious.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I'm glad you arrived to do this before I had time. I looked at it earlier and was having a little bit of difficulty with the handwriting. Was going to look again.
