Help With Siggy On Mother With Child Oil

First name ?
Last name Ra(o)ihman, R(e)aihmar, Raihnar? Or if the third letter is not an "i" but a "c" - Rachman, Rachner, Rachnar.... Quite of possibilities.
By the way the oil painting is behind a glass, I don't see that very often. Paper on the back but I may open it if I have to.

Looks like a Madonna and child painting, I like it.

 

Removing the cover on the back shouldn't damage the painting. I've taken the paper off the backs of many paintings, and found some information.

I see Rachman, but I think I see an I where the C is. It's kinda hard to tell.

 

Could it be Eric Richman?

Actually, I just did. Nada on the verso of the Grumbacher canvas panel #634 .

 

That canvas is modern and the painting looks like a student painted it

 

Sometimes the student becomes the teacher later on in life. I would be nice if the student was 6 yrs old when they did this.

 

Isn't it a pain that nobody ever fills in that information panel on the back.

 

Yes it is, I rarely buy paintings without a sig because it's so hard to attribute a piece of work to he/she. I'll buy one without a sig, if the subject matter is unique and if it's in decent quality.

 

If I like one I also buy it without a sig. Of course hoping to find one on the back, under the frame or elsewhere. Plus there are many examples of paintings by famous artists that were unsigned. But sometimes it takes decades to figure who the artist was, probably many remained still unidentified.

(Side note: I got a little teary-eyed. I was about to disagree with the person who called the original a "student piece" and then realized that person was Spirit-of-Shiloh and oh... this is an old thread and there are people who are missed.)
