    Maybe I can narrow down the search. What do you think, European? What does the hair style and the attire hint on the period?

    She looks Eastern European, Polish perhaps, but really no way of knowing.

    Polish is a good suggestion.
    I thought it won't be hard to read the signature as it does not appear to be one of those super illegible ones but I am still struggling to make out a name.
