I found this beautiful painting at a friend's 2nd hand furniture store (who found it in a storage unit won at a auction).
At first we thought it was Haitian but neither him nor I are sure - and the signature doesn't help; we can't make out the name to try to guess where artist is from.
    Help, please!

Last two letters of first name look to be "vi"

    I thought Jim or Jr?
What style should I call it?

Depends on the artist's intention. Figural? Surrealistic?
