Help with signature.

When I first saw this, I thought it was Nestor Toro, however, the signature is wrong and I haven't found any prints of his work. I've searched Nesto, Resto Visto, Nisto etc. Any other guesses? Thank you. Sorry, it's filthy, it was in my neighbor's garage.

Could be an early work, sig sure looks like "Nesto" to me.

On second thoughts, not Nestor Toro, his stuff is contrived and pretty awful, your piece is better!

Is that a date? I thought it was #11 of 73 prints.

 

Maybe... 73 is kind of a weird number for a run of prints...

 

It's also the placement of the signature. Prints are you usually signed in pencil below the image.

 

Not if you run out of paper or if your better half tells you it's time to mow the lawn/do the dishes/take out the trash ..

Nestor Toro's work isn't too far removed - but I don't see the same hand really. Also his signature is nothing like this.

 

I was going to contact him but I really don't think it's him. The name is spelled wrong and, all I can find for him is original artwork, no prints.

 

I think it could be a date, and maybe not a signature but a title? "Viento" in Spanish translates to "Wind" ...(but also translates to "fart", so maybe not eh? )
