I purchased this drawing last summer for $20 at an estate sale. Luckily it had recently been framed with archival materials so it was ready to go on the wall. I was wondering, could someone take a look at the label on the back and let me know what it says? IMG_1221.jpg IMG_1219.jpg IMG_1220.jpg

I'm not really reading it but the title seems to be Westphalian Landscape, which apparently would apply to most of Willi Repke's oeuvre.

The rest looks to me to be a presentation inscription. Presented by Heinrich Repke to Dr. Dorchy, but I'm not sure what for.

Dedicated to the memory of the nice days they spent together in Wiedenbruch in 1946-47.

I think it is both a painting and a drawing. There seems to be some washes for the grays with white highlights and then the black is either crayon or charcoal, can't quite tell.

It might be a pastel. Or charcoal and pastel. Anytime you need to translate just go to google translate and type it in.
