Hi Trying to help a friend as to whether or not this is worth a little something or if it is trash. I don't have a clue as to the origin (I'm guessing China and the great wall?) or what the lettering says. I thought it would be resin but the few pieces that are chipped and showing through are a dark grey. This is 8' 3" x 4' 3" or crazy large and kind of cool if you are into this kind of stuff. There is a metal frame inside the back as you can see in the last pic. Any help is very much appreciated. I've failed at trying to pull up anything similar but I think I am using the wrong keywords.

Don't know what and where, but it reminds me of art I've seen on Chinese restaurant walls. Like this one. Now, I'm hungry. great-wall-china.jpg

I promised not to use my crayon anymore, otherwise I’d circle it. ;)
I can’t make it all out.

HT, please feel free to use your crayon! :)

Gauntlett, can't help too much with your piece. But you don't see things like that everyday. My first comment/guess would be not too valuable just because it looks heavy and is a huge piece, possibly not to everyone's taste. However wait for others. Maybe it will turn out to be something interesting!

Kinda reminds me of the Summer Palace in Peking. Only a bit, though.

I dont know how smart. I think it’s faux copper.

Oh, Lord, 3 dollars...... cannot believe it...so...cheap.

Actually, the wall decor is about a famous chinese old painting called "Qingming Shanghe Tu" (Along the River During the Qingming Festival), I don't like this translation..... "Qingming Shanghe Tu" as origional is much better!!!

Your decor is a little bit left part of this painting.
