    Hello! I have a simple folk painting in a large carved peasant frame, I would like some information about that. The painting is made on canvas stretched on a wooden frame, oil painting. Size: 60 * 80 cm dated and signed '957. Unfortunately, I can't read the signature (attached to the photo) The size of the Peasant picture frame: 85 * 105 cm szigno2.jpg szigno6.jpg szigno9.jpg szignó.jpg szigno2.jpg szigno6.jpg szigno9.jpg szignó.jpg

    it's lovely...
    i see a nice hand carved frame .
    and a woman in traditional clothing enjoying a moment with her pet....

    I don't know about your class system....I see nothing peasant here...imo

    You did a great job with your photos!! Both in and out of the frame and close-ups! It’s a sweet, attractive painting as well! Unless it’s a known artist, not sure you or we’ll be able to decipher who.....! BUT others might chime in here and color me wrong!!! :happy::happy: Could the subject matter be indicative to your locale??
