Helppp please my friends...brass light switch. Is it dolly? Toggle? Two way?

    Got so confused. (Had to polish one as it was covered in paint, not sure if to leave the other as is? Want to sell ) x

    Didn't take a pic of underside for some reason, but it's vitreous and says Tucker Telac Made in England.
    I expect it's helpful so will be back with a pic

    If they are old original brass ones and without an earth you could be toast.

    I hope if someone buys em they are au fait with this...seen a few sold ( Mr. Bou is an electrician! Why didn't he mention this :O ) so think I am ok

    My son is an electrician , I was on the phone with him whilst reading your post.
    He said although not illegal, qualified electricians should not be fitting these retro switches.

    The average Joe can though.

    It is their risk and it could compromise their house insurance.

    Ah well,when tis out of my hands not much I can do. Hope doesn't cause a fire though :O

    JMHO.
    better safe than sorry in this case; you should stress that they are electrically untested but tested with a resistance-meter. you know, the one that has an Ω on it, don't write Omega or someone thinks it's a watch.:hilarious:
