I believe this piece is Heisey's Beaded Panel and Sunburst but I'm not sure which piece. In Tom's book there is a photo that looks just like this, and it's called an Oil. But this piece is really large so could it be either the Catsup or the Decanter? I can't find any reference that gives the measurements. This one measures 7 1/2" from base to top of handle and to top of spout. It's 5" wide at the most bulbous part. It holds between 2 1/2 to 3 cups, depending how full you want it. So does anyone know which this is, an oil, decanter or catsup? TY! Here are the photos, haven't washed it yet.

EAPGpatterns has this form as a decanter. I did find a catalog cut for this Heisey #1235 Ware with a 4 oz oil, 6 oz oil and 8 oz catsup, but not this larger size; it appears that the handles in the smaller pieces in the catalog also lack the detail as this larger piece.

Thank you, Don! I'm never clear on the old decanters because they are so much smaller than today's versions. But with the wines being a mere 3 ounces, this one would hold 8 refills! I just washed it and it turned out nicely. Hope someone out there wants it. Thanks again.

Oh dear, I just realized that my title says Hersey, not Heisey. Darned auto-correct. It's everywhere now. I was on the R site the other day, typing in words that should have been very common on their site - Like Fostoria which they kept changing to Foster. Makes you almost want to give up.

Specifically, it's a claret decanter, or would be over here.

Trying to get catsup out of that would be a problem. Cleaning it from catsup would be even worse.

Incidentally, those smaller but not small decanters can be used to contain something like vermouth-for-the-martini crowd. Looks pretty on the silver tray. :) I have a dear little Lavoris bottle for that purpose.

Its the decanter, the catsup has a hole you could put a golf ball through.

Thank you! I hope that I get to see a catsup bottle one day.
