Hexagonal Bolts - What age is this item? (Pics added..)

    I bought a pair of candelabra. The bolts used to assemble them are confusing:

    There are square bolts at the bottom plate and in the middle that connects the rest of the candelabra together: there's a slightly 'tilted' liberally made hex bolt.

    Did they use hex bolts in the late 1800s?

    Or did I just go through enormous efforts and money to buy a reproduction / post 1910 (non-victorian at all) pair of candelabra?

    Those are lovely.
    Can't answer your question about the bolts, although the last washer on the right is drilled off center, indication to me that it was not a manufactured washer.

    Can you give us a better picture of the mark

    It's the same one in both pictures, just different sides of it. As I said, it's "crooked".

    I see an M and K in the box.
    I think Austrian. Will see what I can find.

    are the crystals (small round ones) flat on one side or both sides have points

    Most of them are pointy on both sides. A couple of crystals have been replaced.

    that's a good sign that they are real crystal
