    Hello,
I am hoping to sell my beautiful Heywood Bros Chair and want to make sure she goes to someone who will appreciate her. :) I have no idea the value or any information that would be helpful to a buyer. Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome!, nice chair, I notice the one posted by Laura had it's casters intact but yours does not, not sure if this would effect value or not.

Casters on Laura's look very modern and not original.

Great observation, I just assumed my chair's style didn't have them. The feet don't look like they've ever had casters, but again, I really don't know much about Heywood and what would or wouldn't be original.

That's what I was thinking too. Her example is beautifully restored. Not sure if buyers would prefer to have the original or restore themselves...I guess that depends!

Check to see if there is a hole under one of the feet, if there is then yours had casters as well.

Nice chair, StaceeLynn! I wonder whether our member @Bookahtoo might have thoughts on this. She lives close to where Heywood was located.

Yes, do that. The holes may be masked by pieces of metal.

Okay so I just checked the feet and there are no coverings, just wood, and no holes! I'm guessing that's good... :)

Being labeled "Heywood Bros" would make this 19th century correct?

Or was there any period where they labeled it as Heywood Bros after the Heywood Wakefield merger?
