Hi all! Not sure if this is old or not,or what it is...small fairy

Bought this from the same seller I bought all the cake tins from. It was black when I found it and I put a sunshine cloth over it, it's nice n shiny in places now.
Looks,feel and smells like silver but could be anything.
It's small, approx an inch including the base.
It reminds me of an illustration,like Cicely Mary Barker,or Rene Coker but can't find a match.
Not sure if a he or a she,don't know if I can see trousers or not,but it is a fairy sitting under some drooping flower reading a book xx
Magnet doesn't attract.
Could be modern, could be anything, I have no idea.

Can anyone give me some search terms that I haven't tried? Tried Coker and Barker...googled small fairy and lots of permutations but can't find one like him/her.

Certainly has a Flower Fairy feel. I got nowhere with my ideas, but looking at pewter rather than silver yielded more results that at least had some similarity.

 

Thank you,will go and look at pewter. Is pewter very soft? This is bending as I look at it x

Mine is miles shinier but that may just be the pics

 

Metals aren't my 'thing', but yes, pewter can be quite soft & perhaps your piece has been silver plated? Hope someone who actually knows something comes along to enlighten us.

 

I think whatever it is is solid, not plated,but I am largely clueless

Think it may be just the top of a Silver Scenes box. There’s one very similar to yours on eBay called a trinket, pill or first tooth box. The company is from Scotland set up in the 80s. Silver plated pewter. Elf with campion flower. Sorry I can’t link on my iPad.
