Hi all, recently acquired these 2 demitasse cups and saucers in a job lot at auction.

    2 of the cups and 1 saucer has the CM backstamp and 1 saucer has Limoges. Looking for an ID on the backstamp and poss date.

    The CM mark is most likely Charles Martin. The bird mark is unidentified. Source is Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston. The book is copyrighted in 2000 so it's possible more info as surfaced since then.

    Sorry, forgot the second part of your question. The book estimates the bird mark as about 1890. I think that date fits with the shape and decoration of your pieces.
