    Made by the Hausa, of Nigeria, if you want to be more specific.

    And also one of the most-commonly misidentified baskets on web marketplace sites. Listings are then picked up by bots, which means they show up under numerous searches on line, which leads to further misidentifications.

    So kudos to you for asking here! (Researching baskets, especially on line, is usually frustrating, as well as inaccurate.) This site has earned a reputation accuracy, helpfulness, and for not making wild guesses.
