Hi Y'all. Can you share any info on this stereo?

I always planned on refinishing them and selling but never got around to it and planning on selling as is instead for some other DIYer that loves older things.

I am mainly curious about this stereo console. It looks like the Ethan Allen plate came off that is usually above the General Electric box there, but I really can't find anything online about this piece. One person has it on their Twitter...eer X and said it's 1976.

Any info y'all can share? I hate to get rid of it but taking up money and space in a storage unit also doesn't seem right. I have other old stereo turntables and it's time to let gooooo

the stereo is not high end , and it looks built in, so it will likely have to go with the furniture .... which is distressed and very large....... and brown.

none of these are good selling points today.

Normally we say , if u live near a big city the value may go up..... but here I'm thinking a rural sale might work to your advantage.

1976 will be about right for the 8 track.
They came on the US market around 65 and by 1970 just about everyone had one.
I've still got Diana Ross on 8 Track from 1976, I used to play it in my car.

That's definitely Ethan Allen furniture; I have a wall of the set sitting in back of me. It's great for holding all sorts of stuff, but stinks for resale.

That sure brings back memories ! Until this last move I drug around some 8 traks for decades . I remember when Ethan Allen was THE name in furniture. A world long vanished .

    Welcome Katia.
I guess this is in storage because you don't have room for it? If you have room for it, it is very useful. Selling will be a pain.
And I take it the speaker is nestled on the top because there is no room for it, and not because you want to blow the ceiling out.;)
