    My friend is from Gujarat and says it is written in Gujarati.
    It is a person's name Bipin(bhai) Mangal Das Patel
    He said it is traditional to hand down silver through generations.
    He said it depicts the god Krishna and his girlfriend, Radha.
    "They had a complicated relationship. It is a mystery why he married 8 legitimate queens, but not her."...that is what he told me.
    It is Hindu

    Indian silver is very often unmarked.

    Agree, that is the usual range. This looks like a fairly low fineness, but it is best to test it.
