Hollow wood thing. What is it?

    I'm not even sure what to call it.
    It's wood or bamboo. 16" long and about 3" diameter
    The center is ribbed with the two holes.
    and a moom shape cut on one end
    Both tips have metal inserts on the tips.
    There are two different pictures on the ends.
    That's about all.

    It is some sort of musical instrument - played with a stick or wand of some sort.

    Hello,

    That is a güiro! It’s a Latin American musical instrument, it’s missing it’s accompanying little wooden stick/mallet. You rub the stick along the ridges to produce the sound.
