Homemade Pendant Collage Weird

I found this piece at a TS awhile back. It is marked KAY and looks handmade. It has an agate,couple of freshwater pearls,a melted blob of copper,sea shell and goldstone. I haven't tested the silver yet. I guess I could call it hippi or BoHo ?

DUH, of course its handmade,LOL, I meant student project. Need coffee.

 

Boho does seem to be a good selling term these days... at least for vintage clothing. (Note: I don't sell anything; it's just my observation.)

I like it, too, and it's not necessarily the work of a student.

I purchased a ring around 1990 in a fine handcraft gift shop in Boston that has the same kind of free-form mix of stones set in sterling.

 

I wonder if the copper blob is natural or was melted to look that way? Its still rather gaudy to me,LOL

 

@spirit-of-shiloh - I didn't see the size but it looks like the copper blob was just a small torch melt of a penny on a flat surface.

I do think this is student work. It's not well done enough on the back to be anything but. I took jewelry classes for 2 years.

Thanks anti The blob is bigger in volumn than a melted penny. I hated working with copper as it took so long to heat to make anything out of the metal. I know this is a student project, I posted that under the pic I just needed a classification,boho,hippi,grotesque,LOL.

 

Try spelling "Hippie" also as "Hippy" and use "vintage" as a keyword too.
I often search these terms when looking for older items.

Yes I melted a few pennies only once but the blob hardened too quickly to cast properly.

 

Artisan crafted could work in key words, too.
