Hopefully, you experts can give me a bit of advice!! I need to have

a "choker"??? (not sure that's even what it's called??) made for my niece to go with an aquamarine heart I posted here some time ago.....we did some 'careful' long distance measuring, and came up with it needing to be pretty much exactly the same size, thickness, etc, as this one, only in silver, not gold!! This looks like it's 3mm thick....if I have one made in sterling, 19" around TO the clasp, can ANYONE give me any kind of an estimate on cost??? Rough Ballpark???? Going to a Jeweler tomorrow, but would like a heads-up on what I may be looking at in advance, if possible!! THANK you for any help!!!

Just a thought; have you checked online jewelry or beading suppliers to see if any might be available ready-made? I recall my ex-wife having some of these, and I know she got them from a commercial outlet ready-made; not sure what material hers were though.

I still think I'll have to have one made as she wants it to hook in the back, as above.....and that's not a problem.....I'm going to send her the images of a couple I did see though....could still achieve what she wants I think!!! By George, I believe you are correct, although I'd not heard that term before!! Although the ones I looked at weren't solid....well, it's now up to my niece....her choice...all she has to do is let me know!! Preferably BEFORE I get to the jeweler's!!!

 

That's a torc or torque. Ought to be pretty easy to find a plain one already made.

 

Or a neck ring - they're not hard to find, even in silver.

OH, YES, I did!!! And thanks for the reminder, @Figtree3! Even though the heart is set in white gold, the necklace would be like about 6K if I did the same, from what I saw, so we opted for Sterling, with either changing the bail so it's removable or altering the shape of the bail....here's a pic of what we chose....and my niece loves her choice!!! Still waiting to pick it up!! Found I had some earrings to match as well!! She is one happy camper!!! All thanks to my Mom!!
