Hopi pottery cylinder vase.

    Is there a specific name for this style vase that looks like a tall drinking cup, or is cylinder vase the standard? P1010008.JPG

    This site says the style was introduced in the 1920s-30s, based on European styles, pretty much specifically as tourist ware. It says the shape had no functional use for the Hopi. They are called "tulip vases", cylindrical jars, cylindrical pots, etc.:
