So if a hot pin test doesn't work, what does it mean when the triple flame torch causes the item to melt? Plastic? Resin? Bone? Ivory? 20200821_110233.jpg

It means it wasn't a real dragon; a real dragon would have swallowed the flame and belched it right back in your face.

It means you are a novice and don't know this is an unacceptable test.

You posts are quite humorous, especially the photos!

However, IMO your item is most likely ivory

I was at a flea market once and had spotted a seller with a tray of Morgan Dollars. I was looking at a particularly nice one when another customer sauntered up to the display up with his bottle of acid and proceeded to test the coin. Both I and the seller were horrified.

Kind of the same situation here. Perhaps some kind of joke is going over my head and I'm missing the context but hopefully "melting" comment is in jest.

The seller started screaming at him that he "owned" it now and to pay him his money.

Strange things happen at flea markets, sometimes you think you've stepped into a alternate dimension. Lots of characters, kind of like the internet.

The Dragon was fire-breathing and melted the toy torch causing Norm to battle without a weapon. The blood of the Dragon was poisonous and when he did bite Norm, he died. With no one left to go back to fight the Dragon, the Dragon went home to his cave to add some of the treasures he won for the battle over Norm.

Moral of the story:D don't Fight Fire with Fire,

    Ha Ha.

Well, if it melted, it's definitely not bone or ivory as they don't melt. It would mean that either they are plastic or resin, or alternatively, you've discovered a magic torch which has the ability to melt its way through the very fabricate of the universe beginning with your dragon.
