Hotel Virginia Silver Plated Dish By Gorham

Searching on google with "Hotel Virginia" brings a bunch of hotels in the state but I am trying to figure which one was named "Virginia". If not wrong the Gorham winged shoe is for 1925.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
Hotel silver is selling. You need to find the logo for the hotel. I would try the restaurant china forum. The hotel might have bought china with their logo on it.
They have a lot of info on that site.

Might look into the 'Hotel Virginia' at Long Beach, CA - grand hotel in business at that time...

DragonflyWink, I just looked up "Hotel Virginia" at Long Beach, CA. Link is below.

There is a photo dated "1908 - 1915?"

"The Hotel Virginia opened in 1908. It had marble columns, a curved staircase, decorative oriental rugs, and mahogany European furniture. The hotel stood until 1933, the year of the Long Beach earthquake. The hotel foundation can still be seen at Ocean and Chestnut, in Victory Park, which is located along Ocean Blvd (Alamitos to Magnolia) in Long Beach, California."
