How old is this chair?

    Hi,

I'm thinking this chair is made of Maplewood and is from the early 1900s.

The parts that attach the back rest to the seat are loose, but this little chair is still really comfortable as it conforms snugly to the back.

    Does anyone recognize it?

    Thank you!

I think a decade or two older.

Ah, late 1800s! Thx! Any idea on style or value?

Really sort of a Victorian mishmash. Wood looks to be birch with a mahogany stain. Value for a single chair with a split seat would be quite low. Maybe $10-15.00 at retail, if any interest at all. Can pick up single old chairs all day for a buck or two at auction.

Ok, thx, VB. I paid $6 at a Goodwill, so no harm.
