I rescued it from a defunct playground back in November 2022. Finally finished the restoration on this today for my grandkids. Just curious how old it might be?
It's similar to this one that's still available. Any markings on yours? https://willygoat.com/products/portable-see-saw
Wow .. that does look a lot like it. No marks that I could find, but it was quite rusted and pitted. Thank you for the photo and link.
It looked like it was blue originally. I painted it the combo color because blue is my grandson's favorite color and green is my granddaughters.
It was kind of hard to tell due to the rust, but it was somewhere it this range the best /I could determine.
Like this? This is a 1960s blue. More green and you're in the 1950s. (Not scientific, of course.) Debora
It's so sweet and the restoration is very well done. As to age, is there anyone in your area that you could ask? People who have lived around there for awhile and might remember when it was new? Also, the library could be helpful by looking through old newspapers or other documents. I think it's older than the one SIS posted because it doesn't have the safety stoppers on the rocker part.
This one looks like Robs, and looks like it used to be blue Mikey https://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photo-old-seesaw-antique-rusted-image61282325
