how to tell if mold in vintage purses & other leather items

    With vintage bags and other leather goods --is there a way one can tell if there is mold especially if it is not fully grown & highly visible?

    If not by sight then at least by smell? Sometime mold is just a light white powder

    IMO if there’s neither odor nor residue there’s nothing to worry about. I personally lysol all vintage leathers on the interior anyway after using antibacterial wipes throughout. Haven’t ruined anything to date!
