How to tell if vintage metal paperweights are authentic?

    Starting to get into collecting antique paperweights. I know there are fakes out there and I was just curious if there is a way to tell a real one from a fake one. Thanks!

    One way is to see if the wear on the bottom looks genuine. But if you could post some photos, people can see what you are asking about.:)

    Another way is... If there are a lot of duplicates floating around, then changes are higher you'll come across a reproduction.
