I have a couple Gosta Werner watercolors that have been rolled up..
Id like to unroll them for display reasons without framing them (to sell).

Whats the best way to permanently unroll them?

if they are bound...unbind them and let the paper relax for a day.....preferably in a bit of humidity so the paper is not to dry.
Then if the don't resist too much, open them flat, and lay a full sized ...covering the whole work..acid free mat...or foam core....on both sides....on a flat surface ...and weigh it down with heavy books covering as much of the surface area as you can......and walk away.....come back in a week.....

lol, it unroll enough to look at, but if you let it go it returns to a rolled position
