Howard Chandler Christy picture

I have a picture by H. C. Christy, but I can't decide if it's original, or a print or reproduction, or what the media is. I'm attaching photos of it in it's original, linen-backed framing from the early 1900's, as well as a close-up of the signature, and detail of the hands and face. Thanks for any insight, Frank.

 

It looks like a lithograph on a type of textured paper board available in the early 20th century. I found another version of the image, titled "If Sea Spray Kiss Her Face", described as a "book poster" and dated to 1907:

There are some slight differences between the images - and the date is not legible on this other print.

You don't mention the dimensions of yours.

 

HCC was prolific, and somewhere there must be a cache of his original works...but I don't know where.

 

The mat opening on mine is 9x14.
