Howdy! My intro...

    Hello everyone,

    Just a quick intro... I'm Patrick, (47) and based in Devon, UK. I've been working at home since 2002 managing affiliate programs for various clients across the globe, but unfortunately, I lost my job a couple of weeks ago. The thought of having to find a real job both scares and depresses the sh*t out of me, but on the positive side it has motivated me to set-up something for myself. I've just started an etsy store selling vintage objects.... so far it's going really well and I love every aspect of it. I'm not very knowledgeable though... but I do put in the time researching the items I list... which is what bought me here.


    Hmmm... other interesting things about me..... not much. I lived in Thailand for 15 years and been a single (for 11 years!) full-time dad to a 16-year-old girl (half Thai). I make electronic music (my musician name is 'escmode'). I also grow bonsai and studied fine art (painting) at Uni.


    Wowzers... I wrote more than I intended! So that's probably more than anyone wants to know about me. haha.

    Thank you everyone – that’s a really nice welcome – you all seem like a very friendly bunch!

    After so many years working by myself at home, I really don’t know if I can do the 9-5 again. But needs dictate that I man-up and got on with it. I think my humble Etsy store might do ok once I start marketing it – but don’t think it will generate enough to sustain us monthly. Time will tell.
