Hello! I came across this huge collection of vintage marbles and I purchased them but have no idea of their value and was hoping to see if anyone knew of a marble expert that can help me. Thank you everyone!

Marbles are really tricky for resale. Certain antique ones can have value, vintage much less so. Marbles that don't look too different from vintage are still being made today, so you really need to know what is what.

These look likely to be vintage at best (not antique) but impossible to totally tell from the bags. Do you have any history on them?

Some of the older ones are worth money, is all I know, but only some. Don't ask me which or how to tell.

Unless you way-overpaid, I'll bet you will find a very few of those that well-cover your cost. There has to be a forum for marbles, as there is for most specialized collectables. Work at it a bit...you'll be rewarded...Great Good Fortune!

    that's an instant collection....
the way they are bagged , and those are newer ziplock.... tells me that the whole lot has already been sourced for any older or high value ones that were kept aside !!

Still, some look very interesting .....

Looks like you have mostly agate swirl style marbles. Many of them can have decent value but they aren’t high dollar mostly. Akro and Vitro are big makers. Antique hand made German marbles are where the most money is. Like what Komokwa posted. Onion skin are typically the most valuable. There is a marble sub on Reddit. I’ve gotten good help there before in ID’ing marbles. You may want to try there. Google image will be helpful too. Yours don’t look very old but hard to tell in that one photo. Some colors and patterns are rare with the agate swirl marbles. Hard to know which for the novice.

One think I learned years ago when I got a big lot of marbles, DON'T LEAVE THEM ALL TOGETHER LIKE THAT. All it takes is a little fleabite ding and they go down in value. Marble collectors want pristine. Mine came in glass mason jars and the first thing I did was get them out of the jars. I got some of these trays.

There are different sizes and they don't have to be expensive. There used to be a great collector site called Land of Marbles, but they are long out of business and some drug company is using the name.

I will add that collectors also pay money to have the dings buffed out but you have to say that in your sales blurb if you have it done.
