I found a new charity shop in South Manchester today. Mainly furniture in there but nice long set of shelves in there with porcelain and glass on. Found a Minton Haddon Hall teapot and a small cloisonne vase. After I paid I had look in the furniture section and found this huge lump for £10. How could I resist? It's 46cm in diameter. The crazing looks forced and similar to the satsuma wannabe pieces of the 1960s n 70s. However the decor seems to be of a fine standard. Looks to be hand applied but I might be wrong. It also has a Persian of middle eastern look about to my eye. If I Google lens it, I just get endless results for Moroccan tin trays. I managed to force a result of a charger located in Kazakhstan. However it's a dead link.

Nor mine, AJ...but it seems good, solid protein an' carbs, an' I'll bet it's not too hard to acquire a taste for it...except, however, for the shorpo...very little mutton appeals to me.

Oh I forgot pics of search results. Here ya go. Aldo translates into beshbarbak plate. (Slight difference in spelling on mine) I think we are onto something.

Yes, that is the same ad as the one I posted.
I don't think so, this one looks like a white porcelain ground, and no forced crazing, so it is not related to yours.
Both have Persian/Turkish (inspired) designs, but so do countless unrelated chargers.

I thought it looked similar. I managed to access your link once but then it would let me open it again.

I will just have to described it as 'Made near Kazakhstan, on the border of Persia and Japan.

Looking at the stand it's on and the mish mash of styles, it's quite possibly a modern home ware piece.

That's what I'd be thinking too. Perfectly nice 'oh, pretty" plate without any particular origin.

I'd have to close my eyes to eat Haggis, so I could pretend I didn't know what it was until it tasted good. If it tasted good.

The stand may not be original, but I agree, it could be modern home ware.

Good haggis is actually nice. It is mince meat mixed with spices, onions and oatmeal. I had it decades ago in the Dunvegan Hotel, on Skye, reputedly one of the best places to eat haggis. It is only prepared in the stomach, but you don't see that in a restaurant setting.

I've had it once. Tasted like potpourri with all the flavourings. Blurgh
