    Hello,
I am new to Antiquers. I recently bought a house with many interesting antiques inside. I have spent a couple weekends in the dilapidated house rescuing vintage items. It's terrible that someone has let these precious items sitting and deteriorating for years! I will need some help identifying some items. My living room has turned into a museum of glass, cups, bowls, bottles, insulators etc... Can anyone relate?

Welcome! I think most of us can relate. I just rescued some old prints hiding in my own garage!

Next time my wife complains about my stuff, I'm going to tell her that it's a museum! Thanks for the idea, Margo

You've come to the wrong place, I'm afraid. Zero tolerance for that kind of behaviour here. ;) But welcome anyway.

    Okay this is mystery #1
Does anyone know what this is? 3 legged stool? It is made of wood & has flowers carved into the wood on top and legs.

My first thought was a stand for a sad iron. It's the right shape.

Hmmm. 24 inches long seems rather long for a sad iron to me. Thoughts, @evelyb30 ?
