Featured I don't need a chair, but...

    Looking for opinions as to date and style. I'm thinking American, anyway.

    I like this chair - it hasn't had the best care, but the arms have an interesting curve and joinery, great grain and the turnings are nice. Heavy wear to the feet. Also has a "Green Man" on the back... Sorry I didn't get a good image of the whole chair.

    Cool chair! As you say, it looks American, I'd say oak, probably ca. 1900-1910. I like the pressed green man on the rail and the ball and tapering stick arms...unusual! I'd (loosely) call it Renaissance Revival.

    Agrees, it is a cool looking chair, I like the form, especially the arms

    Its a lovely chair and some joiner put a lot of effort into the turnings. Certainly looks American.

    I do love the arms, grain and turning, but not so much the green man, so I'm safe! No chance I'd buy it at $55, or even 1/2 off.

    I think what I realllllllllly want is an Errol chair. (Inspired by @LaineyV )
