Featured I found some flatware today!

Hi everyone,

I went to a bunch of stores today, I definitely feel the "silver rush" lately now that I'm back hunting. Everything in the photos was from 3 stores among many I visited today. I think I got everything for under $4 total.

 

The dinner knife at the bottom of the first picture is International Silver's Spring Glory, my mother's pattern!

 

The large and slightly smaller "scallop" bowl spoons are Gorham's Strasbourg pattern. There's a catalog link on the example on this page.

The souvenir spoon is on Wallace's Eton pattern. And the butter knife is Towle's Symphony.

 

I assume you saw the Candlelight pattern name on the last piece (the fork.)

I must say, whoever was pricing where you got these was totally asleep at the switch.

And thanks for the identification of everything, I love that! Yeah, they were definitely sleeping. Only one of the stores mentioned them being silver, I thought for sure she was going to take them and not sell them to me. I try to be "extra nice" at the cash register when I'm bringing up silver items. I really like the Gorham Strasburg spoons. They are just so funky and fancy I like them the best.

 

I remember that! I'm not sure if you remember, but I found a bunch of these awhile ago, I still have them, so now this little knife will join the collection.

 

"Little" knife? How long is it?

 

It is about 7 inches long

Replacements doesn't show a knife of this size anywhere in their listings. But I think it must be a "youth size knife" to match the 6 3/4 inch "youth fork."

I was very happy. So far I haven't had the experience where they don't sell it to me (fingers crossed). I'm really glad that silver marks aren't common knowledge.
